About
The Chicago Association of Hispanic Journalists
The Chicago Association of Hispanic Journalists was founded in 1988, five years after its national affiliate, the National Association of Hispanic Journalists, was created. Its journalists are committed to building newsrooms that reflect the communities they serve and to promoting high journalistic standards. (This website is under construction.)

Next generation of journalists
CAHJ has promoted the next generation of journalists through direct visits in the Chicago area’s school classroom, mentoring one-on-one, and an annual journalism competition for high school students in categories of writing in English and Spanish, prior published articles in school newspapers, and photography.
